I promised some friends that I would update my blog as soon as I got back and I am keeping my promise now. How was my trip back home? It was good and bad. The good part was catching up with my friends and new acquaintances.
Meeting with friends is always a treat to me. They didn’t change a bit. Well only for one who is 5 months pregnant. I can’t wait to see her kid when I go back the next time. It was fun catching up and talking about everything under the sun and laughing about almost everything and everyone. I miss them so much. They are the best girl friends anyone could ever ask.
I also made a trip to Miri to see my long lost buddy and his family. His son, OH MY GOD is so charming even if he is still a baby but he never fails to make me laugh. Miri is a small town about an hour’s flight out of Kuching. The place has changed so much that I couldn’t recognize it anymore. Empty lands that use to be at the spot are now shopping complexes and they are bigger then the ones in Kuching. I miss the place. I miss the smell and I miss some of the people there. Even my old school has been given a face-lift. There is a HUGE ASS bus stop out side of the school. I remember the tall trees that use to occupy the place and the pond that use to be in my school now is all gone. The pond where my friends and I use to sit around and talk about our dreams and what is installed for us. I didn’t catch up with many friends from there. I went there on the weekend and most of my old school friends are not back home for the Chinese New Year Holiday yet.
The FOOD!!! I love the food back home. It’s so cheap that you can really OVER EAT there. The seafood is so cheap that for $60 ringgit you can have 5 dishes for 4 people. Yummy. The crabs, the prawns, the vegies, I am beginning to feel hungry now.
What else can I blog about? My mind is currently blank as I have loads of work to do at home so I will blog about my trip when I really know what to blog about. :*)
