How quickly did July go? It certainly felt like the rush of the End of Financial Year was just yesterday. July has been an interesting month for me. I have been reading a lot and experimenting and practising a lot of self care hoping to learn and applying from it . I also have been discovering a lot of interesting things out there and thought I would compile it into a blog post of my July favourites. This is one of the format that I will be trying out on my blog and hopefully I will be able to share my favourite things with you. Kinda like Oprah's Favourite Things, only I don't give out freebies and share free links. :P
WATCHING
Netflix has released the entire season of Gilmore Girls in Australia and I have been slowly watching it while doing chores around the house. I am hoping to watch all 6 seasons (again!) before the release of the new episodes. (Yay!) . I do have the DVD box set for the series, which I think I will now sell it either on eBay or Gumtree as I would have no use for it anymore.
TASTING
Mum is back in Perth again and with that comes her beautiful home cook food. I always love it when she comes to stay. Not only do I get ideas of what to cook for my family, I also get to learn how to cook from her. She is a wizard in the kitchen. She uses only the simplest ingredients and it still taste amazing. If you are not currently following me on Instagram, please do as I will post most of her amazing home cooked meal on my feed.
LISTENING
My Dad Wrote A Porno - This podcast is hosted by Jamie Morton, James Cooper and Alice Levine. OWH MY GOD! This is the funniest podcast I have heard. The fact that they have British accents makes it even funnier. The podcast is about, well... about Jamie the host finding out that his dad wrote and published a Porn Novel titled Belinda Blinked. Warning, this podcast is NSFW. If you have a very bad day, listen to one episode and I guarantee that your day will be so much better. My favourite episode so far is The Tombola. Hilarious! You will die from laughter.
SMELLING
I am loving the smell of Lavender Peace (or Serenity) and Motivate from doTERRA at the moment. I diffuse Lavender Peace to help me unwind at the end of my day. The scent of Lavender and with a hint of vanilla makes me feel at peace. I sometimes drop a few drops in my warm shower when I have a frazzled day.
Motivate is a new one in my oil collection. I made a spritzer bottle with water, pink salt and a couple drops of Motivate to take to work. It is said that it will help motivate you and uplift you when you need that extra oomph in the middle of the day. I am still testing this blend out but I do love the citrusy smell and the peppermint in it certainly makes you feel alert at 3pm!
FEELING
While I was travelling around the UK in June, stumbled upon this Moroccan Argan Oil to use as my face moisturiser. This stuff is amazing. Not only that it is good for your face, Argan oil is also good for your hair so after applying the oil on my face, I run my palms along my hair. I have been getting comments that how good my complexion is. I also added a few drops of Lavender and Frankincense essential oil in it as they are good for your face.
What was your favourite thing in July or currently?
