Touched my heart...

I have 2 blogs that might interest you guys out there. The first one is called Papa's Diary Project by Matt Unger. The project is about the life of his Grandpa in 1924. It is an interesting read. My favourite post is when he wrote a poem by Francis William Bourdillon. I had to read it twice to finally get it but when I got it, it shed a tear in my eyes. So touching. I am reading it from the begining. Its sooo interesting. I found Papa's Diary Project via Notebookism.

The second blog is from the oldest blogger in the world. Nana told me about th blog and its so cute. Olive Riley is 108 years young!!! Goes to show that you are never to old to blog. I have not read it throughly yet but I know I am going to like it.

Luii

This week I would like to plug someone local. Meet the creator/designer behind Luii, Janice. I stumbled upon Luii while trolling on MySpace, by the way I am totally addicted to it now, Janice went to the same university as me and I went on to her page and saw all these beautiful things. After following links I finally stopped by her blog and her online Store, on Etsy [LINK]  and Strawberry Jam [LINK]  (which I think she set up as well). Funny thing is, Janice and I are in the same flickr group dedicated to Western Australia Etsy Sellers. Anyways, enough talk... lets look at some pictures...

Playing with Mud

Mudaustralia Mudaustraliaplates2 Mudaustraliaplates Mudaustralia2

I found these fantastic homeware last week via Design*Sponge. Mud Australia. God even the name sounds wonderful. Mud mud mud. Just take a look at their range. For all you Perthians (is that even a word) you can find them in the city at the FORM Contemporary Craft and Design Inc. 357 Murray Street Perth. I have been to this gellery before and everything in there is gorgeous but that is for another post. For those outside Australia, here is a [link] where you can find these fantastic pieces.

I like how the green little tea cups. They look like Japanese Green Tea ice cream. mmmm...

Nuan Sulu ...

"Nuan Sulu" means "you my love" in Iban. Ok since I make jewellery and do not normally posts on Saturdays and Sundays, I decided to feature a plug on the weekends instead of Tuesdays like I normally do. That will give me time during the week to search for things to feature and also give you guys something to read during the weekend when I am banned from the WWW. I will try to feature more Australian designers and crafters.

Anyway here is this week's feature...

One of my ultimate favourite Jewellery maker is Susan from Sulu Designs. Sulu in the Iban Language means Sweet Heart and the designs from Sulu Designs are sweet. When I first stumble across Susan's blog I thought, Owh... another Iban girl making jewellery. Sweet. But after reading all the back posts, yes I tend to do that sometimes to get a feel of the blogger, my thoughts were so wrong. :*)

Susan is from the US and resides in Queens New York, a place I want to visit in this life time. The name Sulu is an incorporation of Susan's name and has nothing to do with Sweet Heart. HAHA..Susan inspire me to create clean and simple things. Just look at her earrings. They are so simple. It reminds me of clean crisp white sheets on beds. You can find her earrings in her Etsy Shop. You should see how she comes up with all these designs. She has a theme going on called Original Intent. Its a good idea if you need inspiration for your jewellery me thinks. If you like simple yet pretty things, visit her etsy shop before it runs out.

Shim+Sons

ShimsonI have been reading Shim+sons for a while now and coulndn't wait for Sally to have an online shop. My prayers have been answered now. I think a lot of the girls out there were happy when she finally opened up her Etsy shop.

Her wall pockets are to die for and I love how simple it is. She just opened her shop earlier this week and already 27 items have been sold. These items would look great in a craft room or a home office.

Be quick though they are almost gone.

Link it up

I was browsing through Blueprint Magazine that I just bought and saw this interesting page. "Linkable note books!!" I said to myself. I use to link my shcool notebooks when I was a lil' Feli but with Tape and glue. Never with something like this. These linkable notebooks are available at Start Here. They are based in New York but only selling these babies via the Internet.

Blueprintmag H_products Linked

All the images here are taken from their website. The first one is the feature that they have in the current Blueprint Magazine. The middle one are the ranges that they have and the one on the right is a picture of them all linked up together. I am so tempted to get one. They are cheap too. Prices ranges from $14-18 U.S Dollars and $55 for a whole set of them.

Will this clever little babies supersede the Moleskines diaries? Who knows ?

Mozi Designs...

Ipod_marrakech My latest splurge, an iPod Cover in RED again ($19.95) from MOZI designs. Everytime I am doing my outside work up the terrace, I would go into this cute boutique. I seen stuff from Mozi Designs in the boutique and fell in love with their stuff so I went on the Internet to see if they have an online shop and they did.

Mozi Designs is founded by 2 sisters, Camilia and Olivia Tipler, from Australia. I can't wait to receive this iPod cover. I have always wanted one eversince I got my iPod last year.

Very 'Chic'ky

Miss Meshell is so gonna hate me. :*) I know she has a soft spot for fabrics.

Owlfab_wht Fabric3_1Floralc_purp

I have been reading Cheeky Beaks's Blog for a while, silently of course, and really admire her fabric designs.  Her latest designs on Owls made me squeel with delight as soon as I saw it. I think she is based in Sydney Australia and her stuff are on sale Hazelhurst Regional Gallery and Arts Centre Gymea Sydney. So if you are in the area, have a look at her stuff. Otherwise you can check out her online shop here. I can not wait to see what will she come up with next.
