Moop Handmade...

Two weeks ago, I went came across this blog called Moop:Handmade. I fell in love with their Letter Clutch. I have no idea why. I usually go for big bags that you can carry your life in. So I browsed around a little bit more.

Then I saw it. That 'carry-your-life-in-this-bag' bag. It's called The Porter bag. I tried to ignore it calling my name but I kept coming back to it. I thought about it for 2 days and finally I caved in. My reason for the purchase? To help the economy. HAHAHAHA... I kid, I kid. I bought it in Gun Metal Grey.

So here I am waiting for it to arrive in my Post. Patiently.

JessicaShaver @ Etsy...

The story of how I got to know Jessica aka bunnybum is a cool one. Well to me at least. I found Jessica on flickr one day and she was giving out these fabric covered buttons for free to anyone that wanted it 2 years ago. I said I would take it off her hands and 2-3 weeks later, I got it in the mail. Naturally I sent her a message on Flickr thanking her and wanted to return the favour. I added her as a contact on Flickr and have been admiring her photos since.

At that point in time, Jessica was still living in the US (I think) and she said that she is moving down to Perth to be closer to her Mom (is that right?) Anyways, she came down to Made on the Left last November and introduced herself to me. I WAS COMPLETELY SHOCKED and was so thrilled to meet her and her mom. I told her mom that I love her photos and Jessica's mom immediately whipped out this cute tiny book that she carrys around with her of her grandkids. I thought that was a sweet gift and also a way to show off Jessica's work and kids. :*)

So now finally Jessica has opened up her own Etsy store selling all her work. Yippie...They are affordable and will not break your bank. My favourites are the Pink Bud and Green Tea print.They would look nice in my kitchen/dining room area.

Aspiration : Dresses

One of the list in my things to do this year is finally make a dress. I FINALLY made one 2 Sundays ago and now I am aching to make another one from another pattern.

I was trolling on blogs and etsy to find some ideas of simple dresses and stumble upon Betsy B Designs. Me likes these two dresses pictured. So simple, so beautiful and so lady like. You can either wear it on it's own like that or pair it up with a belt.

I bet you you can get away by wearing this in Winter too. It's not too cold in Perth.

Aspiration 3...

These are my current favourites.The two at the top are taken by Balqiz, a friend I know from back home. I am absolutely loving the "feel" of all her photos. Very vintagey, very dark, very moody. I love it.

The two at the bottom is taken by my soon to be brother-in-law, Darren. His work is the total opposite of Balqiz's. Clean and crisp. Another aspect of photography that I like.

Aspiration 2...

I have been reading Bliss for a while now and I absolutely love her photos too. They have a certain feeling to it. You can buy her prints on her Etsy shop too. I am so tempted to get these three.

Videos on Gardening...

My far away friend, Stef, told me about The Produce Garden on You Tube. He is brilliant and he is Australian. Perfect. We will have almost the same climate. I have already watched a few of his videos and learnt a lot from it too.

I just thought I'd share it with you guys out there. Eventually, I want to move to the country and have a small farm where I can grow fruits and vegetables and farm animals and sustain my family with it. How cool will that be eh?

Touched my heart...

I have 2 blogs that might interest you guys out there. The first one is called Papa's Diary Project by Matt Unger. The project is about the life of his Grandpa in 1924. It is an interesting read. My favourite post is when he wrote a poem by Francis William Bourdillon. I had to read it twice to finally get it but when I got it, it shed a tear in my eyes. So touching. I am reading it from the begining. Its sooo interesting. I found Papa's Diary Project via Notebookism.

The second blog is from the oldest blogger in the world. Nana told me about th blog and its so cute. Olive Riley is 108 years young!!! Goes to show that you are never to old to blog. I have not read it throughly yet but I know I am going to like it.
