Owh My God... Owh My God.... I am actually hyperventilating. I went to the Borders Media website and saw the teaser from the Penelope DVD and literally it took my breath away. My obsession is not healthy. REALLY I am sick. I think I need to see a shrink.
Anyway here is the video. My favourite part starts at the two minute mark. I just love the way he looks at her. Ok ok *breathe* *breathe*
This year, I will be backing Australia in the Olympics. With the opening ceremony going on tonight, my eyes will be glued to the TV until the Athlete's parade is over. I have always admire the strong patriotism of Australians. They are always barracking for their country. You should see them during Australia Day.
Anyway, the reason for my post is to share this ad by Quantas with you guys. The first time I saw it, I wanted to bawl my eyes out. Its really touching. That and I am a sucker for ads like these. :*) I hope you enjoy "the Spirit of Australia" and GO AUSTRALIA. AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE.... OI OI OI. Go the Green and Gold.
I got this from Fabulously Broke in the City's blog and when I saw it I had goosebumps. That and also the fact that "No Air" is my current favourite song. Don't you think its great?
Anyway, I have been trying to read all the blogs from my blog feeds and as of yesterday I had at least 1009 posts to read. I then said to myself that I am going to have to thin it out. I hate doing that because we all know sods law that after I delete that feed, I know I am going to need it to refer to something and I will not remember the name of that blog. So I am going to save the ones that I delete off my feeder to del.icio.us. That makes it better right? I have heaps saved on del.icio.us.
On the crafting front, I have not done or continue to organise my studio since the last 3 weeks. I feel guilty for not doing it because all my stuff is in M's office. Sorry babes. I will do it next weekend. I promise.
This weekend we are entertaining guests. I invited everyone from my office for a house warming party. I am pretty excited about it because, THEY ARE ALL COMING. I have never had people from work come over to my place before so this will be a first.
M and I bought a gas BBQ last week and I put them all together by myself. I told M that our roles are reversed because he usually does the housework, like cleaning, sweeping and washing the dishes, and I usually do the job that blokes were meant to do like ripping weeds off the garden bed, putting furniture together and much much more. I guess M is not the blokey kind of Man but I can deal with that. I love fiddling around with tools anyway.
I also went to Salvo's yesterday to get some pretty glass bowls for entertaining and for $40 bucks I came home with 2 fold-able director's chair, 1 retro ottoman (and you can lift the seat up and get extra storage), 4 big bowls that I am going to use as salad bowls, 1 cheese serving dish, 2 vintage juice jug and 1 crochet afgan for the dog. Pretty cool don't you think. The most expensive item on the list was that Retro Ottoman. I actually went into Salvo's to look for Dining Chairs but couldn't find any that I like or would match the theme that I was going for. Owh well... some other time then.
So tonight while watching the opening of the Beijing Olympics, I am going to make the base for the Pavlova. Now this is what I call a fun start to the weekend.
Have you seen Katie Holme's new hair do? How gorgeous does she look now? Gone were the days of her long brown hair ala Joey Potter from Dawson's Creek. I LOVE IT. She looks more mature now.
be buying things when I am trying to save up? But I couldn't resist these T-Shirts from Threadless that are going for $10.00 a piece. I found a store here in Perth and they are selling the same T-Shirts for AUD$45.00 a pop and I think that's ridiculous. So here is what I got...
Take a look at the lady that they interviewed last. Its so interesting.
I am inspired by street fashion now a days but I am too conservative to try it out. I am worried about how I would feel. M always tells me if you are not comfortable with what you are wearing then don't wear it at all. I think he is 100% right. The other day I made a bad choice and the whole day I was feeling uncomfortable and it shows in how I carry myself. One of the girls that I normally meet when I do my outside work says that I look like I have something up my bum but in a good and uncomfortable way. LOL.
I like the look of girls riding their push bikes. I know another girl that I usually do settlements with and she rides her push bike EVERYWHERE in her working clothes. I don't know how she does it but it makes her look so cool. I was talking to someone (I forgot who was it) about why there are more people riding their push bikes in Europe and not so much here in Perth and one that that we can conclude was that Perth is too hilly. I would someday want to ride my bike everywhere if I can get off my lazy bum to do it.
Anyways, here are some of my favourite street fashion blog that I stalk everyday for inspiration...
How bad do you want slather this all over your body? I know I did the moment I saw it. I know a few chocoholics that may even attempt to eat it. HAHAHA...
Its called Double Rich Hot Cocoa by Philosophy. Mmmm... I only know a place here in Perth, Mecca Costmetica, that sells Philosophy products so I might pop by just to have a sniff. Just a sniff I promise.
Its such a nice day here in Perth today so I decided to walk home from work. I am wearing comfortable flats so it should be an easy walk home. I have got my iPod and Justin to keep me company.
Again, when I saw this clip, I cried. I bawled my eyes out when I saw the old guy clench an old photo and went to the wardrobe and also at the end where he whispered "I miss you". Urrgghhh I am such a crybaby sometimes.
