A little bit better...

Mmmm.... that looks a little bit better isn't it? It took me 3 hours to clear half and move all of the boxes in to the spare bedroom. It looks bigger now and better now eh?

Owh...I found my Olympus. It was in my bedroom closet. Silly me put it there for safe keeping. Hahaha... that's typical Feli.

Currently I am baking brownies in the oven. Mmm...can you smell them?

We have furniture...

I crossed almost everything off my list and now am starting the process of unpacking. More photos to come.

Boxes...

Boxes and stuff everywhere. This is how we are living at the moment. I have got cats running around knocking things off and stalking and playing with each other behind boxes. I hope things get organised soon. This is just the living room. You should see the second and third bedroom.

On a better note, we manage to get all our furniture from Ikea tonight. We scouted out the bargain section where they have ex display units and furniture that are a little bit scratched. We got drawers for our bedroom and the tv shelf from that section.

We got a dining table, 2 sofas, a coffee table and a few other smaller stuff. its getting delivered this Saturday so I am pretty excited. Saturday will be "putting-ikea-furniture-together" day. What a fun day eh?

Next, the garden.

Welcome...

Home Home2

To my humble abode. :*) Yep we are practically home owners now. I am so happy, I am so excited, I am so tired all at the same time. As you can see these pictures were taken before we moved in. You should see it now. Boxes and stuff everywhere. OK OK .... my stuff everywhere.

We are hoping to get our council bins organised, the antenna guy is coming to put up our TV antenna up this Saturday, I have to go to Bunnings ( something like Home Depo) to get some brackets to put up the dryer. We are also going to get our garden beds put up so that we can start planting our vegetables. We are still trying to get our Internet connection up and running. So I won't be posting  from a proper computer as often as I want to but, I will try to post something up via my mobile.

Other than that, I got a worm farm happening at the back of the house. All our food scraps are going there and also cat poo. I have been using Garden Friendly Kitty Litter so when we have our garden up and running, the litter will be dispose there. How cool is that.

Over the next few months, I will blog about the house. So I hope you will not be bored with all the house and garden talk. :*)

Are you excited yet?

Ahhh.. thats better...

Remember this mess? Last night I manage to clear the studio after last week's ordeal. I was chatting with a friend last night and she wanted to see the state of my studio and I showed her and this is what she said "You are a slob crafter". I have no idea what it really means but I think she meant that I do not clean the room as I go. I leave the mess until I can't work in it anymore. I think she is right.

So here is the after shot. One in the dark, because I love the look and one with the light on.

I moved Kirk and the printer to the studio so that I can do my packaging in the studio as well. Also I will try to work in the studio with Kirk on playing the Gilm0re Girls at the background. I told the girls that I manage to watch (hear) season 1 to season 6 of the Gilm0re Girls last week while working. Bliss.

See if you can spot my studio buddy in the picture. :*)

Shadow Box

Dscn7264 Remember this post? I was asking you guys out there on what should I do with all the items? Well I went to my favourite craft store today and got me a shadow box and made this. I was not feeling creative enough so this was what I came up with. Its now hanging in my living room wall.

Today also marks the first day of my looooong awaited leave from work. I took a week off to make stock for this Sunday's craft fair. I have already hit my two favourite craft store and got some supplies for my work. I have a few things that I have in mind and will start work on it today.

I got a call this morning from another job that I applied and they want to see me tomorrow. Its nothing big. I will just be working casually at one of my favourite craft store. Woohoo....

Ok. I will post about what I am working on tomorrow.

Temp workspace...

Well this is the look of my current work table. Bookbiding, beading and also card making at the moment. I bought a wet of tools in order for me to do my bookbiding projects easily.

I just had to include a picture of Fatty (I think I should change her name) aka Toby sitting beautifully on the arm of the sofa. I don't know how she can find it comfortable balancing on it.

Organization Part II

Dscn5186 Dscn5185 Dscn5187

Keeping up with the organizing theme for this month, I organized the cupboard under the bathroom sink. I bought little baskets that will contain all my womanly needs and also to keep loose items in one place. In the bags that you see on the bottom left, they store electrical goods like the hot iron and M's shaver's spare charger. In one of the bags I also store spare toothbrushes and toothpaste. I kept them in bags so that if the tap leaks they will be dry. Pretty smart huh? :*)

I never knew I had so many contact lense solution!!! I have at least 10 bottles including the one that I am using at the moment. I was laughing at myself yesterday for having so many. Its just that when I went back last year, I bought 4 bottles, then the trip this year I bought 3 and then Mom bought 3 bottles when she came here for the wedding. So that makes 10 bottles all together. *gasp*

Anyway its all cleared up now. I can see what I have and don't have now. Next place to organize is the closet. :*)

Organization Part 1

Ok here is how it looked before...

Dscn5126_2 Dscn5127 Dscn5128_2 Dscn5129

Sorry for the dark and flashy photos. By the time I got home it was already dark. I took off work early too. Told the guys there I had a headache and they belived me. *LAUGHS* I then took the car and head towards the nearest Target, which was like only 10 minutes away. It was a very small Target. I did not find all the things that I wanted.

See the ugly shoe racks with all the pretty shoes. :*) It an EYESORE! M's soccer stuff everywhere, his shoe polish my shoes, the boxes to my shoes. They are everywhere. So I found a 2 drawer table at a shop near Target and it did the trick. I also got a few of those Vacuum Bags that you can store your clothes in and then suck the life out of it. They are fantastic I tell ya. Get the good and expensive ones. Not the cheap ass ones that you can also get at the dollar store. They are useless and will expend again in 5 minutes. The ones that I bought are called Spacebags. They are good. I used the one especially for suits too. M has a lot of suits and do not use them because his work provides him with 2 so the ones that he has sitting in the closet at home are now skinny and had their life sucked out of them. LOL.

So here are another set of pictures taken 4 hours later. M did a good job with the Bathroom and Kitchen. I did the Studio, Living room and our bedroom. :*) We now have a clean and organized house to live in. :*)
