Surprise number 73 : Revealed

P7040489Meet the newest addition to the SK-R family. Walter aka Wally. He is a retired Greyhound. I adopted him from Greyhounds as Pets WA. He is 8 years old and was abandoned by his last adoptive family. Poor thing.

He has settled brilliantly at home and Toby and Missy are ok with him. Missy was fantastic. She did not run or hide. Instead she came up and said "hi" and even sniffed his nose.

Toby was a little bit scared. She flared up and ran for cover. But I think she say that Missy was giving him the thumbs up, she settled down.

Wally is the sweetest dog I have ever met. Tiff read his Foster Care Booklet while I was cooking dinner, and his foster parents all loved him and gave him all good reviews. He follows you everywhere and he is gentle on his leash. I can't wait to take him for his morning walk tomorrow morning.

I am so happy. I feel that my life is complete at the moment.  Teeheee...

Life is full of surprises. I have one more for you guys out there. Here are the clues....

What is black, huge and full of love? Who has ran races for 2 years of his life and is now retired?

Stay tuned. :*) Hopefully all will be revealed at the end of this week. Crossing my fingers.

*My family members and Miss Dot knows the answer so they are not allowed to play.

Ticket to Ride...

P6280467Check out my new ride. I got up bright and early this morning and went to a second hand shop to get a bike. A new bike would have set me back $250 - $400 but this baby only cost $135. Which was reasonable. After my dental appointment I took my bike to the nearest bike store and got a bike rack and bag.

The reason why I wanted a rack at the back instead of a front basket is for safety reason. If you have a basket in the front of the bike, its going to be hard for you to control your bike. Since I plan to cycle to the shops and JC I opted for the back.

It was raining today so I didn't get a chance to cycle around so I hope I will be able to do some exploring next week. Wooohooooo....

Hello World...

Finally!!! I am connected. With the help of Optus Unplugged. Wireless without the hassles of having a phone line. So I do not have to deal with bloody Telstra. YUCK.

After cancelling my account with Telstra (YUCK) I walked to the nearest Optus store and signed up for the wireless service that they are currently offering. And wham bam thank you mam... I am connected to the world again. THANK GOD.

M and I can start living as normal again. Yippie

I'm a Brownie...

Buttonbrowntypepadweb_3 I was a brownie when I was a Lil' Feli and I am one now. Ahhhh the memories of singing songs and the activities.

What are Brownies you might ask? Well...

A brownie is to be trusted

            A brownie is helpful
            A brownie is friendly
A brownie is polite & considerate
A brownie cares for the earth & living things

A brownie is obedient
A brownie is brave & cheerful

And when I heard that Meet me at Mikes are having meetings for Brown Owls and Brownies via Bec of Honi Designs, I was so happy I signed up for the Faraway Owl Pack. I got my pack today and I can't wait to start working on it. Wooottt...

Milestones...

P3090071

Today marks a milestone for M and I. This is the top of our wedding cake that I saved from last year. Tradition says that you are suppose to eat the top of your wedding cake when you have your first kid but now a days people eat the cake on your first wedding anniversary.

M and I are going to have a private dinner tonight and come home and have cake for desert.

Friday Night Dinner...

Pc210477Tonight has got to be one of our best Friday Night dinner. It was low key and laughter. M brought a box of Cherries that he got from his office. The four of us ate the whole box and it was YUMMY.

I have work tomorrow and on Sunday a little light Christmas baking.

Interview & Sewing Meet...

Dscn7280_2 Today, I woke up a little early to get some work in before my interview and my sewing circle meeting with Miss Dot.

I manage to finish cutting and sewing these Mini Pockets all of Saturday, Sunday and yesterday. I have never done so many repetitive sewing in my life. I manage to sew 30 pieces of these Mini Pockets and I am only going to take 25 of them to the Craft Fair and the rest I am going to give them as gifts. Now all I have to do is hammer in the little snaps and I am good to go.

After doing a little sewing this morning I got dress and went on to my interview. It was not like any other interview that I have been to, basically they asked me to fill in the forms, take back my contract to read and basically asked me when can I start!! I told them I am only free next Saturday and she said "Ok, see you next Saturday and lets go on a tour of the store." I was shocked that she did not ask me anything else. Well the Home and Craft store is the second largest in Australia and let me tell you its HUGE!! I was joking with the lady saying that I would die a happy person in that store. :*)

After the interview, I went to Miss Dot's place for a sewing meet. She was so kind to invite me to herDscn7271 beautiful home and provided lunch. We watch the Melbourne Cup, "The Race that Stops the Nation", and ate lunch. My horse came in first. Of course it did, I didn't bet on it that's why. :*) After the race, we sat down and sew with Project Runway Canada playing at the back. It was a fun day. I also got to meet Miss Minnie's friends at Doggy Playgroup. I told Miss Dot that this was my idea of heaven. A large park with happy dogs playing and running around.

I got to see Miss Minnie in action and also I got to meet Mr Max. Poor thing was sick and was not feeling well.

I had so much fun today. Thank you Miss Dot and Miss Minnie
