I have started planting seedlings this spring. This time I was hoping to get something out of it. I have gotten a few plants from Azly's Mom and went to the garden store yesterday to get my supply of dirt. People are so creative these days that I bought 40 litres of soil in just 4 blocks of brick size "things". I seen it on TV a while back. Its soil all dried up and packed into blocks the size of bricks, very very handy. I didn't have to ask a guy to come with me so that he could carry the soil for me. I carried it in a plastic bag all by myself. :*).
What have I planted? Lets see?
The Edibles.
Mixed herbs (I got free from a magazine)
Capsicum.
Celery (Azly's Mom gave the plant to me)
Onions (I found one of my Onions that was sprouting in my pantry and decided to plant it on the ground instead)
Spring Onions ( I had some left over Spring onions so I decided to plant them in a pot)
Basil.
Curry leaves.
Delima Tree (This tree was also given by Azly?s Mom, I don?t know what they call it in English though. Any takers?)
Flowering
Daffodils
Pink Daffodils.
Spider Plants.
I have some plants already planted last years but I will tidy them up to see if I can get them in to full bloom this year. Speaking of which, have any of you seen an Aloe Vera sprouting out flowers? Well the crazy aloe, which I fondly call it, is starting to sprout out a flower bud. I have never seen them before so I am paying it special attention.
I have been doing some research on how to plant seedlings and how to take care of them. I have even set up tidy up my small gardening corner too. I use the milk crates to create shelves and use empty storage containers to store up my tools and also updating my garden journal. I hope this summer will not be as hot as the last because I don't think my plants can take it. Except maybe the Crazy Aloe or the lavender bush.
