Bleak colours...

Its been raining constantly for the past few weeks. I have been feeling really really uninspired in my creativity (making stuff and photography) and fashion. Everything I see these days are either Black or Grey. Bahhh...

I need something to kick me in the butt and tell me to wake up and smell the frosted covered leaves. I had a clean out of my closet the other day and was surprised to see the colour scheme for winter. Black, Grey and Red. Thats it. Nothing flowery, nothing feminine, nothing bright. No wonder I have been feeling a little bit gloomy for the past few weeks. Perth is not THAT cold that it snows but for a girl from the Tropics, 0-5 degrees every morning is cold enough.

I decided on Saturday, in the midst of cleaning out my closet, that I should take out my Spring/Summer clothes and include them in my Winter wardrobe. My Spring/Summer clothes are usually bright and colourful. So I say WHY NOT. The cold-wind-rain-frost will not hinder my quest to be bright this winter. Ok....enough BS-ing. I think the cold is making me crazy.

Anyways, I have been stalking a few street fashion and fashion blogs lately and here are some that inspires me.  So here are some that I would like to share...

This is my favourite from Altamira. You all know its because of the red leggings she is wearing right?

Expert Advice...

TnsI was watching Trinny and Susannah yesterday on TV about what shape most woman are. There are 12 common shape. You can read more about them here. After perusing them for about 15 minutes, I found out that I am an hour glass. I thought I was a cello but cello's have broad shoulders and I do not have broad shoulders.

Its good to know what kind of clothes that I need to find to accentuate my body.

More V necks, more pencil skirts and less stilettos but more peep toes and rounded ends.

So what shape are you?

I love how designers now knows that most of their market are people like me who can not afford their Of the Runway Designs. I hope this collaborations with designers will not stop.

Now I have to wait if Jovovich-Hawk for Target is coming to Target Australia

Winter Legs

I can not wait for Winter this year. I am so over Summer. I want it to get colder. I am not a huge fan of Summer. Ok... maybe early Summer when its not 38-40 degrees C outside.

Why can't I wait for Winter? Leggings of course. I have this thing for Leggings this year. I don't know why. Maybe I have been reading/looking a lot of Street Fashion blogs. I went to a Collection Launch yesterday at Sussans and I bought 2 types of leggings from them. A Capri one and a long one. Both black though. I am on the hunt for Greys and Red ones. Wouldn't that be fun. Owh I can't wait.

Team the leggings with a smock dress and a coat or jacket with sexy chunky heels. Owh my.... all the possibilities.

Here are some looks that I like.

Sartorialist

These pictures were taken from The Sartorialist. I love all his pictures. He has got a good eye. I wish Perth had people like these to look at. I guess we are pretty laid back here that we do not care about our looks. I am not saying that we are not stylish at all. Its just that not many people are.

The first picture on your left, I love because I like that Corporate look that she had but its fun and famine at the same time. I don't know if I can pull off something like that but I still like to look at it. The second picture is also one of my favourite, I love the RED coat and her red shoes. Not so much the hat though.

Copenhagenstreetstyle Stylesightings

Pictured on the Left is from Copenhagen Street Style and the one on the right is from Stylesightings. I love how simple they are.

Owh I can't wait for Winter.

New look of Mrs Cruise

Katieh

Look at how gorgeous! It totally does not look like Katie at all.

Why am I posting about her? Well because I am currently watching the entire series of Dawson's Creek now. Yea yea I know... lame but I love it. Especially the part where she dated Pacey.

I Want...

I went out shopping last night with Tiff and we headed towards Veronika Maine again. This time we tried a few pieces on. Here is what I want....

Image_120_3 Image_122

I love love love the pinafore ($119) and the white shirt ($119). I forgot how much the Uniform dress cost. but its actually deep blue and I was attracted to it because of the big button on the right. That dress is sooo me.

Sorry for the crappy photos. Camera phone. So you know the quality.

Street Smart

"Its always better to be overdress than Under dress." - style.com. Owh how I agree with this statement. Anyways I have been lurking around a few fashion blogs (the Satorialist is one of them) and also a few renown fashion websites (style.com for example)  and thought I share this video clip with you.

I love how the Satorialist captures the individual style of this "street models". I love his section on Bicycles.  I seldom see people here riding their bikes with their work clothes or casually. Its always with gym clothes or the proper biking clothes. I wish someone would do the same but for Perth. I read in the Vogue Australia Forums that one of the girls there is going to do something similar. I hope she succeeds.

Winter Wear....

Since its going be Winter soon, although it sure feels like it now, I have cleared out my closet of Summer clothes and starting to pull out jumpers, jackets and stockings. Here is what I am looking at... while the Big Fish is away...
Skinny Winterlook

Remember how I posted about the Skinny Jeans that I could wear, well these are the jeans. Its black and NO those are not my legs. I wish they were my legs. I know I will have those legs soon. Anyways, I wanted to see how I could wear Skinny Jeans and the picture on the right is how I totally want to wear them. Only now I have to find those pumps. I already have the coat. I do not want the bag though.

Speaking of shoes and bags, look how beautiful these are...

Molliniplatform Katiebysophiakokosalaki
Shoes are from Mollini and the bag.. well the bag is from Ninewest and it was designed by Sophia Kokosalaki. I want a sling bag like that to put all my junk in. At the moment I have this sling bag but its going to give in soon. So I am desparate..

And WHO says that you can't wear fun colours in Winter. Elena Miro, who designs for big girls like me uses Yellow and Orange in her winter collection. Here are some of my favourites...

Miro

I just found a beautiful website. Its from the designer Elena Miro. Her clothes are good but what I like about it its because she cater for the Plus Size people like Me. When I saw the models on the runway I was so happy to be able to spot the a little bulge on the clothes. :*D

Here are a few of her collections...
