Bleak colours...

Its been raining constantly for the past few weeks. I have been feeling really really uninspired in my creativity (making stuff and photography) and fashion. Everything I see these days are either Black or Grey. Bahhh...

I need something to kick me in the butt and tell me to wake up and smell the frosted covered leaves. I had a clean out of my closet the other day and was surprised to see the colour scheme for winter. Black, Grey and Red. Thats it. Nothing flowery, nothing feminine, nothing bright. No wonder I have been feeling a little bit gloomy for the past few weeks. Perth is not THAT cold that it snows but for a girl from the Tropics, 0-5 degrees every morning is cold enough.

I decided on Saturday, in the midst of cleaning out my closet, that I should take out my Spring/Summer clothes and include them in my Winter wardrobe. My Spring/Summer clothes are usually bright and colourful. So I say WHY NOT. The cold-wind-rain-frost will not hinder my quest to be bright this winter. Ok....enough BS-ing. I think the cold is making me crazy.

Oh no...

I can't find my Olympus camera anywhere. I know its packed but I don't know where and which box did I put it in. I know I unpacked it the other day but I cleaned the whole front area of the house yesterday and did not realise it until this morning.

Shit, shit, shit. I miss taking photos and my hands are itching to take updated photos.

The Tramp...

Although I do not believe in these horoscope thingie but this one is spot on!! I can hear the Family saying "YES SHE IS" in unison. This totally sums me up. Apart from the Tramp part. LOL

Aggressive. - Yes I can be agressive when I have to.

Loves being in long relationships - I am loyal. What can I say? I mean why change partners when it takes a super long time to get to know someone?

Likes to give a good fight - Yes I love a good fight. I sometimes pick a fight just for the hell of it.

Fight for what they want - If I want something I will fight for it by hook or by crook.

Can be annoying at times, but for the love of attention - HAHAHA....I am annoying. I am loud and sometimes say things without thinking. Its like my brain is working on a different speed than my mouth.

Extremely outgoing - Yes. But only up to a certain extent.

Loves to help people in times of need - I will help a stranger without even thinking. Papa Nic and I are collecting Karma points remember? :*).

Good kisser -  REALLY? Wait. M says YES. LOL.

Good personality - Yes. I do have a good personality. Annoying but good personality.

Stubborn - YES. I am very very stubborn. In other words, DETERMINED. I will not move if I do not want to and I will not do something that I do not want to. Once my mind is made up there is no turning back. Unless the reasons are obvious. I am stubborn but I am not stupid.

A caring person - Does caring for Animals count as a caring person?

They can be self centered  -  I will help somone in need no questions ask but, I have a card that I keep in my back pocket that says "I must take care of myself because at the end of the day, its every man for himself." If you do not take care and love yourself first how do you expect someone else to love you?

They want something they will do anything to get it -  Owh yes. This is call compulsive. If I set out to do something for the day, I will get it done by night fall.  I have to do it there and then. If not I will have the urge to do it anymore.

They love to sleep and can be lazy - HAHAHA...my mom and sisters will agree to this.

One of a kind - Well there is no other Feli like this Feli now isn't it?.

Not one to mess with - Owh yes. Mess with me and there is no turning back. I have still not forgiven this guy in high school for spreading rumours about me sleeping with him. If only he knew who started the rumour about him. LOL.

Flat Out...

I wanted to find a photo that would sum up how I am feeling right now but found nothing. I am super tired now. I think I am using my reserve energy to come in to work. I am in need of a holiday. I have not taken a leave from work since January. I will speak to the Big Fish today to see if I can get tomorrow and Monday off. I doubt he will give it to me because he is going away on the 18th.

Organised Life...

I am forgetful. What am I saying? I am VERY forgetful. I need to write things down in order to remember it. Its frustrating sometimes because I come in the room and I forgot what I needed or need to do.

Work is very demanding now. I needed to find a way to utilise my time. I found a way on how to do this. Every morning I write down a list on what I need to do. In the morning. This is usually checking the phone messages, checking the emails, opening  up the letters, sorting the letters and so on. All this takes up most of my morning. I get into work and by the time my routine work is done, it would be 1030 ish. Then I move on to my IN TRAY. This is usually all the letters that I need to type. Everytime something new comes in my TRAY, I will write it down in my To Do List. As soon as I finish the task, it will be crossed out with a red pen. Its amazing to see how much work I have done in a day and I would be so proud of myself when I see the whole page crossed out.

I found a few blogs on the Internet on how to organise your time. I found a term for this "Getting Things Done". I am still doing a little research on it and so far I am liking the idea.  Has anyone used this method before? Any advice?

PICA Car Boot Sale & Organising things...

 

What a fantastic day. Tiff, Nana and I went to the PICA car boot sale in the city this morning and spent the entire day there. It was such a beautiful day too. I FINALLY got to meet Miss Dot and Miss Meshell. It was so wonderful to finally put a face to a name. When I reached the venue my eyes was looking for her famous resins and when I spotted it I made my way to her car and said Hi. We hit it off. We were like long lost friends just talking and gasbagging. It was fun fun fun. I am so proud of Miss Dot for making and staying at PICA the entire time. WOOHOOO.... I can't wait to see more of her work at the Leederville next month. I have already marked it down on my organizer.

I also met Ali J, Tea for Bini and also Emma from Dropstitch. You can read more about the day on their blog. I bought a fantastic piece of art from Yolanda of OneTrickPony. I have to get it framed. I told Yolanda that her drawings is soooo ANGRY that its FUNNY. You should check out her artwork.

I came back home after PICA so inspired I manage to come up with a few pieces of work. Its pretty simple. Just some Gocco Printing on Moleskines. They are on sale on my Etsy Store.

I feel so bad for neglecting my Etsy shop for a while. I kept on putting it into my To Do List. I have stock but haven't gotten around to taking pictures of them and setting them up on my Etsy Shop.  I know excuses excuses. I have to have a plan so that I am able to use my time productively. Any tips? I read this little post on Comfortable Shoes Studio on how she plans out her day. Its amazing how she gets things done. I have been reading and reading it over and over again. Its such a good post. She has a full time job like I do and she has the same hours in a day to do things like I do, so why can't I follow her footsteps right? I will start listing down things that I have to do in a day so that I can use it wisely.

I like to be organised with things. This is becuase I am very very very forgetful and my attention will stray if the task is boring. I have started to list down of things that I need to get done at work so I will not forget. If the Big Fish wants me to do things, I will then write it down on my little list book and cross it out after doing it. If I did not finish the task on the day, it will then go on tomorrow's list on high priority. So far its working for me and I realise realise that I get more things done with a list.

1. I sometimes wish that my boobs were smaller. Thought I'd share that with the rest of the world. HAHA...
2. I admit that I am LAZY. I will find the quickest way to finish a task then to have to go through all the process.
3. I am scared of heights.
4. I am scared of bugs that can fly.
5. When I sew something from scratch, it usually takes me 3 errors to get one right.
6. Even though I know fact number 5 is true, I usually don't learn my lesson and use the good fabric on the first try.
7. I am scared of the dark.
8. I am also scared of Ghosts and ghost stories but I still love to hear a good one and then sleep with the light on.

How it began....

It began with a movie, then there was a song, it then led to a blog and now over 4 years later it is still going on strong. That was how I got the name for my blog. From a song from a movie. I found the video clip for that song over at YouTube. So enjoy...

Waiting...

Today it rained. We need the rain. I took some self portrait while waiting for the bus. I had my iPod on with the new Take That (sans Mr Williams) playing.
