Happy Halloween...

WitchWe do not celebrate Halloween here in the Land Down Under but I have seen people going to work in costumes today.

Just wanted to wish you a Happy Halloween and save some candies for me. :*)

If you are interested in Haunted Places in the US. Here are some interesting places to go visit. And for you Aussies here is a list of where to look. Its not as extensive as the one in the US but its something.

I am a total wuss when it comes to all things supernatural but I don't know why I like to read about them and then I scare the wits out of myself. LOL. Its the curiosity thing you know.

An Invitation...

Photo1I meant to post this yesterday but I was to tired to post.

We, I mean Miss Minnie, Ali J and I, are sharing a stall over at the Subiaco Craft and Community Fair on the 11th November 2007. It will be held at Mueller Park (next to Subiaco Oval). We finally heard back from the organisers and we are in. Thanks to Miss Minnie for inviting me along.

Our work/wares are so different in medium that you will get a range selection to choose from.

So if you are free on the day please come by and say hello. I would love to meet all you guys out there. Doors open at 9am.

I am excited and nervous at the same time. I have never sold anything at a fair this big. "What if people are not interested in anything that I make?" "What if its not good enough?" "What if I do not sell anything during the day?" GAH... all these questions keep playing on and on in my head. Its hard to keep them out.

OK, I am ranting and making no sense at all so I am just going to stop now.

P/s: I got my annual leave approved so I am taking the whole of next week off so I can work on my stock. So far I manage to only make 2 different kinds of items for sale and I have another 3 kinds to make. Wish me luck.

Brilliant Furniture.

M and I have actively started to look for a home. We have the Finance side of it sorted and now all we need to do is find the perfect home. M is in charge of looking for the house and as for me, I am the one that will furnish and decorate the place.

USAIt was a coincidence that I happen to find this home furniture website via PPP. The website is so easy to navigate. You can either shop by room, shop by style or shop by colour. The shop by colour is the best feature in my opinion. It gives you a chance to coordinate with the colour of your walls or floor. And guess what? They deliver for free, yes you heard me right. FREE, if you are living in the  USA. Owh and don't forget to look at their sale items too.

I took a look around it and here are some of my favourite picks.

Bed Sofa Homeoffice

Take a look at this Captains Bed!!! My word. Look at how cool the bed is? You need a step to go on your bed. I love the drawers on the side of the bed. Brilliant.

And how about this Lounger and Sofa set in their Living Room Furniture Section? I could sit and sleep (yes as you can see I miss my sleep so much that I can’t stop thinking about it) all day comfortably. You do not need an ottoman because the sofa comes with a recliner!! Brilliant right? No more feet on the coffee table.

Owh owh owh and this Home Office Furniture. I would want something like this at work even. So that I do not have to see the grey ugly office furniture that we have at work. Maybe that will make me look forward to work every morning. It doesn’t take much to make me happy.

E

I can't think of a suitable title to the post. If you look at your petrol tank indicator on your car, you will know what E means. Yep thats me. I am now running on reserve energy. I am soooo freaking tired that I was so scared that I would fall asleep driving on the way to JC today.

On a happier note, I applied for a week off next week and I was given the green light. Yippie. So I have next week off to prepare stock for the Subiaco Craft Fair. WE ARE IN. I will be sharing a stall with Miss Minnie and Ali J. Will talk more about it tomorrow.

Ok. I can't think straight. I am going to bed. YEAH its 8.30 and I am going to bed!!

Distracted...

Wow... this weekend is a weekend of happenings. Today I went to see Miss Minnie at the Distracted Little Market Day. It was so exciting to see all the crafty goodness all around. I had to stop myself from buying anything. I went there with a frame of mind that "If I can make it myself, I will not buy it."

I also met Dy from Random Appliqué. It took me a while to figured out who she was and then it hit me. LOL. I am so bad with names and faces its not funny. But it was so nice to meet you Dy.

I had fun today. I am so tired though. Need sleep.

Cartridge Finder...

At work, we have this printer that I have never heard of, its a Kyocera. Well I have never heard of it. Anyway, I have to find the ink cartridge for it and guess what? We couldn't find it at our local office supplies store. This frustrates me because I have to find the cartridge for it immediately.

Now, Cartridge Finder is one of the places on the internet that you can find your printer cartridges easily. They had the cartridge for the Printer that we have. Finding the right printer cartridge is now easy with Cartridge Finder

The Pledge...

So with all this nonsense news about lead paint in our children's toys and the yucky feeling that maybe just maybe the person next to you got the same T-Shirt or Dress that have the same tag that says "Made in China", I decided that this year for Christmas, EVERYONE in my family gets something handmade or I would by something from an Indie designer. Its one of a kind, its cool and it rocks. Ok, so I took the pledge. Maybe you should too. Thank you Mlle A for alerting me to this. Its a wonderful project to partake.

From this....

Pa240790

I love this bag. I got it free when I bought my Mobile phone at the phone shop. Instead of giving you a plastic or paper bag they give you this bag now. I have been using it for a while now and its the perfect size for me to carry my lunch and books. I love how long the handles are and how they fit perfectly under my arm. BUT....its made out of yucky material. Its got a tiny hole at the bottom so I was thinking about what to do with it this afternoon and WAHLAH....I made this...

Pa240792

I used what ever fabric I had in my fabric cupboard and why the lace? because the fabric was not long enough so I had to sew on another panel and added the lace to cover up.

How is that for Upcycling?
